Project

Place 2 Place

Dope Studio created a video and social advertising campaign for Place 2 Place, a private hire company serving Maidstone, Malling and the surrounding areas.

Rather than building the campaign around a scripted advert, we focused on the people behind the business, using real members of the team to talk naturally about the service they provide and what matters to their customers.

Putting the Team On Camera

The campaign featured three different sides of the business: a Driver, Fleet Manager and Dispatch Controller.

Each person brought a different perspective, allowing the videos to cover everything from local knowledge and professional drivers to reliability, cleanliness, customer service and fair pricing without forcing all of those messages into a single advert.

The interviews were kept conversational, giving the team space to speak naturally about what they do rather than reading heavily scripted lines.

Filmed around the business

Production took place over two days, combining interviews with supporting footage of each team member in their working environment.

The finished videos could move between the people, the vehicles and the day-to-day operation of Place 2 Place, giving potential customers a better feel for the business as a whole.

Built for Social Advertising

The project was planned around multiple short-form edits.

We produced six social videos, each running between 15 and 30 seconds, with different opening hooks and messages that could be tested through the Meta advertising campaign.

Each edit opened with a reference to the local service area, helping the adverts feel immediately relevant to people in Maidstone and Malling. Different variations could then be tested to understand which messages and openings worked best with the audience.

Content For the Website

Alongside the shorter advertising edits, we produced a longer corporate video for the Place 2 Place website.

The longer format gave the business more room to introduce the team, explain how the service operates and show the people behind the vehicles, while the shorter edits concentrated on grabbing attention quickly through social media.

Video and Advertising Working Together

This project was planned as a complete campaign from the beginning.

The filming, interview questions, localised hooks, different edits and advertising strategy were all developed together, rather than producing a video first and deciding how to advertise it afterwards.

That gave Place 2 Place a bank of content for its website and social channels, while also giving the paid campaign enough variation to test different messages and creative approaches.

The finished campaign followed that strategy and achieved what it was created to do: put the people behind Place 2 Place in front of a local audience through content that felt genuine to the business.
